This work aims at presenting results of gasification tests conducted on five different biomass residues collected from companies looking for alternative valorisation strategies for their waste. The corresponding chars produced were thoroughly characterized to provide a comprehensive overview of their possible applications.

Presenter's biography

Francesco Patuzzi received his PhD in 2014 and is presently associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). His research activities are mainly related to thermochemical conversion of ligno-cellulosic biomasses, biorefineries and biofuels.
