Integration of flexible bioenergy: biomethane, hybrid heating and flexible gasification systems
Green Heat for Industry - 150 kW Tests of a Novel Lean Gas Burner with Waste Wood Gasification Derived Green Fuel Gas Including CO2-separation.
Short Introductive summary
A novel burner test facility was developed and constructed, integrated with an existing research infrastructure of staged thermochemical conversion (pyrolysis and gasification) of biogenic feedstocks. The setup includes also an adapted gas scrubber, enabling the study of CO2 separation using amine-based scrubbing agents. The burner system is modular in design, allowing the simulation of various industrial process requirements, e.g. via the adjustment of chamber wall temperatures. The entire setup enables system investigations under realistic industrial conditions with a fuel gas capacity of 150 kW. For gas production, waste wood fractions are utilized as feedstock. The tests will allow the identification of the impact of green gas qualities in terms of compositions and impurities on the flame stability and exhaust gas emissions. The results will be the basis for the tailor made concept to substitute fossil energy sources by sustainable ones for industrial process heat supply.
