Integration of flexible bioenergy: biomethane, hybrid heating and flexible gasification systems

Biomass Characterization for Optimizing Mobile Pyrolysis Systems

Short Introductive summary

This study investigates the pyrolysis potential of residual biomass feedstocks commonly available in Portugal, Germany, and Türkiye. Two biomasses were selected per country according to their representativeness regarding environmental or economic aspects and their relevance to the region. In this context, eucalyptus bark and olive pomace were chosen for Portugal, while miscanthus and hemp were selected for Germany, and pistachio pruning waste and pine tree bark were chosen to represent Türkiye biomass feedstocks.
